Different Types of Side Hustles

Hello again! This is your Side Hustle Private Investigator with another blog. This time let's talk about the different types of side hustles.

There are many types of side hustles and the list increases every year! In this post I will attempt to divide them into different categories. The first category would have to be work from home side hustles.

They consist of jobs you can do while at home or without leaving your place of residence. While most of these jobs require a computer, some can be done thinking outside the lines.

A popular work from home side hustle would be online surveys. Most of these jobs require a computer and log in information and they pay based on completed assignment. Pay can vary anywhere from $0.02 to $30 depending on assignment. Online survey hustles are great to do whenever you have a free moment but will not make you much money.

Some examples of online surveys would be: Inbox Dollars, Prolific, ClickASnap, KashKick and Slice The Pie just to name a few.

Of course you can't mention work from home side hustles without mentioning my favorite - affiliate marketing. This is when you promote someone else's product and get paid a commission. A win-win situation for everyone!

Most companies these days allow room for affiliates to promote their products. The key is to find companies that will pay larger commissions for promoting their products. Now let's get physical! These are side hustle that require physical action to complete. They normally would not be done at the comfort of your home but outside and with some kind of physical labor involved.

Some examples of this side hustle would be selling handmade items on Etsy, refurbishing and reselling used furniture, start a moving company, and the good ol' shoveling snow or cutting grass.

Now there are many more of these physical side hustles which we will talk about in other posts but this will give you an idea.

This side hustle has quickly become popular with the younger generation. It allows you to use mobile devices while completing tasks and making money on the side. You can make money by taking pictures and submitting them for others to view or purchase or by taking pictures and submitting them for survey jobs.

Some examples of this side hustle would be Foap, Dosh, GigWalk, just to name a few. But these two apps I have personally made over $600 per month with each, Survey Merchandiser & Field Agent. Again these are just a few of them and we will be discussing more of them in future posts.

For those of you who enjoy driving Ms.Daisy around, there are some vehicle or driving side hustles that are right up your alley! These are side hustles that require a vehicle of some sort to complete. You can use your personal vehicle or rent one but it would take away from your income if you rent one.

Some examples of this side hustle would be Uber or Lyft driver, Uber Eats, Amazon Flex, and Instacart which is become more and more popular these pandemic days!

What happens now with all of this information I gave you? YOU have to decide that for yourself.

I will say that I sat on the fence for a while before starting my side hustle journey and regret I didn't start earlier. So my advise would be to not stay on the fence for too long! Get started today! If nothing else begin educating yourself on different side hustles you can do on your spare time.
